Like many dog owners, I loved deeply — but I realised I didn’t always understand what my dog was trying to tell me.

I wanted to learn how dogs experience the world, how they communicate, and how love shows up in quieter, less obvious ways. This space grew from that curiosity.

Gentle Paws Club exists to help dog owners slow down, listen more closely, and build connection through understanding — guided by research, empathy, and real life with dogs.

Our Journey to Gentle Paws Club

Gentle Paws Club began as a personal place to process love, loss, and life with dogs. After the loss of my chocolate lab, Darcy, in November 2025, writing became a way to understand that bond more deeply — and to explore how dogs experience the world around them.What started as a private grief journal slowly grew into a desire to share this space with dog owners, lovers, and the quietly curious.

The Evolution of Gentle Paws Club

Today, Gentle Paws Club is a community-based space where people come to share experiences, ask questions, and learn together — guided by empathy, knowledge, and care. The journey continues, gently, with the belief that understanding is one of the greatest ways we can love our dogs.
